Ramos Pinto Superior Tawny Porto

Multi-generational Napans Janine and Chuck Dickenson established Napa Wine Lockers in 1998. Their genuine love of the Napa Valley and interest in wine has helped make this endeavor especially enjoyable for them.

Both are native Napans and proud of their extensive Napa Valley heritage. Janine graduated from Napa High School and Chuck from Justin-Siena High School. Janine and Chuck are “Old Blues”, graduates of UC Berkeley. Chuck also graduated from Hastings School of Law and Janine holds two teaching credentials. Since 1978, Chuck has been an attorney with Dickenson, Peatman and Fogarty. DP&F is Napa’s largest law firm and has served the wine and viticultural community for over four decades.

Chuck's father, Howard, is an alumnus of Napa High, CAL and Hastings as well, and returned to Napa to practice law after WWII. Chuck’s grandfather, Howard Dickenson, Sr., served Napa County as a Supervisor for 16 years, helping to establish the Agricultural Preserve, a measure critically important in preserving the agricultural integrity of our Valley. In addition, Chuck is a member of the California Society of Pioneers and proud to be a seventh generation Californian.

Janine, a former local teacher and wine tour operator, is a fourth-generation Napan whose great-grandparents, along with a considerable contingent of northern Italians, immigrated to Napa near the turn of the century. The Italian community flourished, and contributed greatly to the unique character of Napa Valley.

Giving back to the community is a priority for the couple. Napa Wine Lockers is happy to store wine for local charitable events at no charge, space permitting. Chuck is past-president of the Napa County Bar Association and currently serves on the Boards of both Napa Community Bank and Hands Across the Valley, a non-profit organization dedicated to feeding Napa Valley's hungry families.

We are delighted to welcome our son, Adam, who replaces Brett Cooper as our general manger. Brett came to us several years ago with the goal of becoming a CPA, by completing his education while working with NWL. We congratulate Brett on his newest achievement- he is now employed as a CPA with the prestigious firm of KPMG in San Francisco.

Adam is a recent graduate of UC Davis, having majored in Environmental and Resource Sciences.  As with Brett, this position with NWL will be a stepping-stone in Adam’s career path, but we are proud to have Adam for as long as we can, and feel lucky to have a young man of his caliber on our team to fill Brett’s shoes. Adam’s considerable skills are well utilized at NWL – wine stored with us is exceedingly safe in his professional hands.

Rounding out the team is our friend Carole Scott, who brings her sunny smile and friendly disposition to NWL on Saturday mornings, rain or shine. Upon occasion, you’ll also be greeted by our NWL mascot, Marley, our big, friendly Bernese Mountain Dog.

We look forward to welcoming you to Napa Wine Lockers and pledge to caretake your wine with the utmost responsibility.
